Enrollment Specialist

Ms. Cara brings over 15 years of experience working with children. She began her journey in childcare as a nanny at just 17 years old and has continued to nurture her passion for early childhood development. Currently, she is pursuing her associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education at Urban College.  Cara has truly enjoyed being part of  the Thrive team where everyone shares the same vision and is dedicated to the mission of supporting children and families.

Ms. Teri

Program Director

Teri Putman has served as a Program Director, Center Owner, and Family Childcare Provider for over 19 years and brings a wealth of experience to the field of early childhood education. Teri has always had a deep passion for working with children and their families, and she takes great pride in supporting others through her work. She is a dedicated professional and a proud graduate of Wheelock College, where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development. Teri is also a mother of three daughters, all of whom have followed in her footsteps by working in early childhood education.

Ms. Melissa

Childcare Provider

With over 15 years of experience in early childhood care, Ms. Melissa is a dedicated home childcare provider who is passionate about creating a warm, safe, and nurturing environment for young children. Her program focuses on supporting children’s growth through play-based learning, structure, and strong family partnerships. Known for her patience and attentiveness, Melissa takes pride in helping children build confidence, curiosity, and social skills that prepare them for lifelong learning.

Program Administrator

Ms. Kelly has been working with children for over 20 years and finds great joy in making a positive impact during their early years. She is passionate about helping children grow and thrive, and she truly values the difference she can make in their lives. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys cooking with her daughter, playing board games, and going for walks. When she’s not doing those things, you’ll likely find her enjoying a good book.

Curriculum Coordinator

Ms. Precious discovered her passion for early childhood education while spending time babysitting her nine cousins; it quickly became clear that children were naturally drawn to her. From her genuine connection with children, she realized this was a path she truly wanted to pursue. One of her favorite topics to teach is Black History Month because it teaches children to embrace the beauty in our differences. Her favorite children’s book is The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle and she admires author Andrea Davis Pinkney for her powerful storytelling. Outside of the classroom, Precious enjoys streaming and gaming.

Ms. Yvonne is a certified childcare assistant with more than 15 years of hands-on experience working with young children in home-based settings. Affectionately referred to as "Grandma" by the children, she is known for her calm, caring presence and her ability to connect with children of all ages. Her role includes supporting daily routines, fostering a positive learning environment, and working closely with the provider to meet the individual needs of each child. Families appreciate her dedication, reliability, and the loving support she brings to every day.

Ms. Moya

Program Administator

Ms. Moya is a trained teacher with 10 years of classroom experience in her home country of Jamaica. She has been a valued member of the Thrive team for almost 3 years. Her favorite curriculum is the National Standards Curriculum, which she appreciates for its structure and impact. Moya enjoys reading Bible stories, as they share meaningful lessons through powerful narratives. In her free time, she loves watching television, listening to all genres of music, and shopping.
